Course Overview
The CPCSIL3001 Work with Products and Materials Containing Crystalline Silica unit is a nationally recognised course designed for workers who may be exposed to respirable crystalline silica during construction or related activities.
This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to identify silica‑containing materials, understand associated health risks, and apply safe work practices in accordance with WHS legislation and workplace procedures.

There are no formal entry requirements for this unit. Participants are expected to:
- Be working, or intending to work, in construction or related industries
- Demonstrate basic language, literacy and numeracy skills
- Be able to participate in practical training activities
This course is suitable for workers involved in cutting, grinding, drilling or handling silica‑containing materials.
