Course Overview
The CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, commonly known as the White Card, is a nationally recognised unit required for anyone working on or entering construction sites in Australia.
This course provides essential knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) principles, hazards, and responsibilities to ensure participants can work safely in construction environments.

Course requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Participants are expected to:
- Be at least 14 years of age
- Demonstrate basic language, literacy and numeracy skills
- Be able to participate in a classroom or structured training environment
This course is suitable for new entrants, apprentices, trainees, and workers requiring site access.

On successful completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and be eligible to apply for their White Card.

Important Information
- The White Card is mandatory to enter a construction site in NSW

- You must provide valid photo ID on the day of training
- No licence is issued by Forkpro Australia Pty Ltd – SafeWork NSW issues the card after successful completion
